Default ya see the problem is.... [Expired Topic]

so first off when i turn the wheel i hear a creaking noise which is starting to concern me
and when i brake i hear a noise hard to describe.
i have an 05 nox ls.
brakes are all new so it might just be the pads being broken in but i honestly doubt that since i've never heard this sound on any other vehicle i've owned.

also the headlights are keeping condensation in them. very frustrating.
and the rear bowtie is cracked. i need a replacement. anyone know where to get one?

i bought my nox used, i love it to death but i'm concerned about these few things.
any reassurance would be awesome and any help is greatly appreciated!

The creaking could be coming from drivetrain binding or from suspension, and it might be as simple as replacing some bushings or lubricating the chassis. However, since you mentined the headlight fogging,, Are yo sure this vehicle wasn't wrecked? The two issues together could point to front end damage, which could damage the seals on the headlights, and could do anything from minor damage to the suspension all the way to frame damage causing the squeaking.

As for the rear badge, EBAY would probably be your best bet.

Agreed both issues could point to front end wreck. Did you carfax before purchase? If clear have a shop put it on the rack and check it. Carfax doesn't get everything I know I have been bitten it the past by this. Good Luck

is the creaking noise coming from what could be the steering wheel or down the steering shaft, I know this is a problem in the Vues(nox cousin) my moms Vue has this and it has been checked and it is actually a common problem but wont harm the truck but very expensive to fix, the headlight could be solved by drilling a very small whole in the back of the light and then turning on the lights to help evaporate the moisture and then seal it up with RTV sealer
