Why does my 1997 5.7 liter Suburban hesitate between 50 & 70 mph? Any thoughts would be great.

my old 94 burb did this and i found that the egr valve to bethe culprit.
So many possibilities. Can you describe in more detail this hesitation? Does the SES light come on? Even if it doesn't, I might scan for codes and pending codes to see if the computer has anything to report. A fuel pressure test might also be in order, though you may have to set it up so you can monitor the fuel pressure under conditions that it hesitates. There's also the question of it being a possible transmission issue.
