    Default Hey all...

    Hey all,

    Just a little about me:
Married 12+ years with 5 amazing kids ranging from 10 1/2 years old to 21 months old.
3 girls first then 2 boys... Tons o' fun!!

Our family mover is a 2001 GMC Yukon XL 1500 SLE. Seems to get about 14.5 mpg around town (Denver/Boulder area) and roughly 18mpg on the HWY unless I'm heading west on I-80 in Wyoming...that head wind drops me down to 14mpg easy!!

Other vehicles in the family include a 2000 Jetta TDI (to offset my gas guzzler mpg) and a Dodge Grand Caravan that's for sale!! Wanna buy it??

Right now I'm looking for ways to increase that mpg number on the Yukon and any suggestions are welcome!!!

    blessings!

Welcome to the site man! I have similar goals of increasing my mpg. So far I have gotten a K&N FIPK (increased about .5 mpg), and plan on exhaust, hypertech max e-con, and possibly an aftermarket mass air flow sensor. At some point I will probably throw in some better spark plugs and wires (I've heard of people getting mileage boosts from that). Those are my suggestions You will surely find lots of advice and suggestions from people on here. Everyone has helped me ALOT since I joined!

Welcome to the site! Looks like the most common "upgrades" have been mentioned (good list).
