I thought I followed the instructions to the letter, including stinking-up my wife's oven with the recommended bake-off. The stuff burned off almost immediately!!! All that work, and now my headers look like they belong in a leper colony.

That stuff works great on everything BUT headers. I have tried every trick in the book for the headers, but from my experience, the only thing that will stick to the headers is ceramic coating.
