I have a 2004 Trailblazer EXT SUV on which the liftglate window lock plunger (beside the wiper blade) button that opens the glass is stuck all the way in. I've successfully got the plunger button back out, but it no longer goes in/out easily. I need to apply strong force to push it in either direction. It looks like the plunger itself is scraping on something metallic preventing it from moving in/ out freely. When i look from the inside, panel removed, I don't see anything broken. It is just very very stiff.
I've tried adding lubricant to it with no luck. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement part just for the plunger not the whole kit? Is there something else i should try?

Huh, never heard of that happening before. What type of lubricant are you using? I'd say the spring broke, but that wouldn't increase the resistance ... I'll have to take a look later today.
