    Thumbs up wucky

first timer, are we really suppose to drain the automatic transmission on an '03 2500HD by taking out the drain plug? i fear i might tear out the bottom of the pan first. i also have a '99 Silverado with 160K miles and not one problem ever. i have had to have the driveshaft rebuilt on the '03 Silverado which has 75K. great trucks. i am going to drive them until i see just how long they will last.

First to the Lunatic Frindge!!! I think I would remove the trans pan to drain the fluid, you need to change the filter anyway. I have the same philosiphy.... drive em' till the wheels fall off..... get out and put em' back on and drive em' some more!
