Default Shock absorbers? Which is best?

I own a 07 siverado Z71 Crew Cab and I want to replace my shock absorbers. I travel on very rough roads and I want a high quality heavy duty shock. Any recommendations? Thanks.

I've used Monroe shocks w/good luck. Also, Bilstien makes great HD shocks.

there are a few other things to thnk about. do you have a lift? how do you drive the beast? slow over bumps or blast over them? there are way too many shock companys out there to say one over the other company....mike

The best i have found myself are these made by eddlebrock for Off Road Unlimited. I have abused these shocks and they keep coming back for more and more
