    Default How to Remove Factory Head Unit?

    I know this is a pretty easy question, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to pull the factory head unit out on my 2008 silverado ext. cab. I don't want to do much prodding around with my brand new truck until I know what I'm doing

    What year?
    2000 Silverado V8 5.3L

    Want:
    2" - 3" ReadyLift Leveling Kit with a 3" body lift with 35" tires w/ 20" rims.
    Full body paint detail.

    Kenwood deck with Kenwood Mono Amp with 2 12" Kenwood Subs
    Cherry Bomb Glasspack muffler

    the trim around the radio just pops right off. when you get that off romove te climate controls...there should be 2 sections on the climate controls...those are held in by 8mm screws. once thoe are off the radio is held in by 4 screws. should take you 5 mins at the most.....
