Question How do you get the smoke smell out of leather??

Hey guys, sorry if this doesn't relate to cars but I figured I could ask this anyways as a general question. Basically I bought a second hand couch that as soon as I got it inside, realized that it was basically bathed in the stench of smoke. How do you guys get the smell of smoke out of leather?

There are severeal products that I've tried in the past, one is a spray that gets out the smell of smoke. I'll have to see if I can find it and post what it was.

Nothing worse than that smell if you try to take a nap on the couch and you're not a smoker. lol

    Angry smoke

Vinegar is pretty good stuf for pulling odours out of the air. If you could wrap the couch in plastic leaving room for air around it and place a pan of vinegar in the bag under the couch. It will take a couple of days and you may have to replace the vinegar if it becomes contaminated with the odour. I had a car a few years back with a bad smoke problem, the vinegar pulled most of it out.
The sun/fresh air is also good at destroying odours..Maybe you can leave the couch in the backyard for a few sunny days, the neighbours will be jealous of your new patio furniture!!

Thanks guys, so far I have tried using febreeze got nothing(surprise surprise). And then I tried some of the carpet fresh baking soda basically covered the couch in the stuff, and it actually worked a little bit. I left it on there over the weekend and will vacuum it up tomorrow, so if it still stinks I will for sure try the windex and vinegar. As for leaving it outside, there is a chance for rain everyday next week... So thanks a lot for the replies!
