To my knowledge, the 4.3L V6 is a 350 V8 small block minus 2 pistons. Is that correct? If so, does that mean that all performance bolt-ons for the 350 can work on the 4.3L?

Other than acc's and maybe the TB, I don't know of anything else that would just work. All manifolds and "hard" parts have to be for either the 6 or 8. Maybe I didin't understand what you were asking.

Never mind, I feel stoopid now. I am just trying to find good performance out of my 4.3. I'm not worried about gas milage, just performance. Stock is 195 HP and 260 TQ. I would like to reach at least 300HP 350TQ but am afraid that's not easy. There are NO superchargers or turbo's for the V6 and every other mod only helps a little.

Theres a few performance enhancing items the two engines share, mostly accessories off the front of the engine. Underdrive pulleys, high output alternators, and power steering units all are interchangeable.

Other than a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust, and a custom performance tune; what else can I do to my truck to get closer to my goal of 300HP and 350TQ? I currently have 200HP and 260TQ without any of the above mods.

I don't know for sure, but I would bet that the "remote mounted" turbo charger would work on the V6. It fits under the truck, in the exhaust system. You might want to check into it.

STS (Squires) is a great turbo system for a street driven truck and would certainly get you around 300hp. The mountng location for the turbo near the rear wheels. They suffer some from turbo lag but when it starts producing boost it comes on like a freight train. I've driven a few of their vehicles and I was impressed. If you decide on an STS system tho I recommend you buy the optional air intake diverter, I've seen a few of the STS turbos take in water and the filter is always extremely dirty.
For the goal you have in mind this may be the best option to achieve it.
