Is it worth it? I was looking at one (need to see a couple of parameters for emissions purposes), but since my 'burb will flash trouble codes out I was wondering how useful it would be. I'd hate to spend $100+ on something that I'm only going to use once to check some settings.

I passed. I do have an OBDII scanner that I use for newer vehicles, but remember the codes only give you a starting point for troubleshooting. If I need OBDI info I just go with the paperclip and decode the flashes. If you are into mods like turbo, gears etc check out what aldlcable.com has to offer. For a few extra bucks you can read the OBDI data on your pc/laptop.
