    Default wiring

I need to install a component that will turn on when I turn the ignition switch on. Can I connect to the igntion switch itself? If not, where is the best place to splice in a fused wire. [15 amps]

Find a source wire thats hot when the ignition is on. Take your pick theres plenty, pwr windows/locks, radio, etc. Use a tap splice for a signal wire to be connected to a relay. Connect the relay to the battery, then connect the relay to the item needing power, place an inline fuse holder between the relay and your item needing power. It will now only power up when the ignition is on.

    Hey tb plus 10,
Thanks for the reply. Did what you suggested, connected to wiper power source and it works fine.
    Thanks again,
    John

    Default Mileage boost

Thanks to those who responded to my wiring question. I installed an electrolyzer in my GMC suburban. then replaced the plugs with Bosch platinum with 4 grounded electodes.
The truck has over 204,000 miles on it. Filled it up with mid grade gas and drove 100 highway miles at 63 mph. filled up again and found my fuel useage went from 17 mpg to 21 mpg. About a 20% increase in fuel economy.

Ok that's great news on the mpg. I've looked into doing that for about a year and just get too much conflicting info or there's so much modifications and experimenting that I haven't done it. Is your project detailed anywhere?

    thnx
