    finished up the gasket match work, also cleaned up the rough casting on the exhaust ports. I might spend some more time shaping those ports...





    I also bored out the upper plenum from 72mm to 74.4mm to match the CFM-Tech throttlebody.

    Finished up the long block

    I apologize for the cell phone pics, I had forgot my camera today

    I pinned all 16 studs today, than washed, repainted and assembled the heads.

    Everthing roatates smooth, no PTC issues or coil bind. The retainers also clear the valve seals... so all is well, so far

    I chucked up the harmonic balancer in my brake lathe and removed enough material off the hub to compensate for the shims behind the reluctor wheel on the crank.

    The March underdrive pulleys arrived. And than I moved the engine from the machine shop to the sales floor waiting to get loaded in the back of my truck







    And there she will sit until Sept 12th, where I have the weekend of the 13th reserved for the install. I've a small team of gearheads willing to help for the cost of beer, so either by hook or by crook this project will get done.
