    so my dad boought a pioneer deck. and got in installed in a shop.
    he never got the extraction keys and this was like a year ago.
    i finally bought a ipod cable for it but now i have no way of getting the deck out.
    and i cant seem to find any anywere.
    any other way i could get it out without extraction keys?

    It's possible, but you'd probably risk damaging something in the process. I'd swing by a local audio shop and see if they'll let you borrow the extraction keys. Or even the place you got it installed at - since they really owe you a set anyways.

    Or you can just buy 'em from Pioneer for $2. Shipping is probably another 10 bucks though.

    if you use a very slim flat head you can do it one side at a time, unlock one side, try to pull it out a bit, then go to the other side and pry a bit more, but be careful you can damge your radio bezel or any trim around it too. I know over here in Canada if you go to like a future shop/bestbuy, theyll take ti out, if anything tell them you bought it, and have to send it out for service and they never gave you the keys. done deal.
