I recently purchased new 10" Alpine sub woofers to replace my old school ones. These new subs hit way harder than my old ones. Currently they are installed in separate sealed boxes. The boxes are very old, and the subs now make the wood vibrate and give me that irritating vibrating noise. What can I do to remove/damp the vibration/buzzing. The buzzing noise only occurs when the music is cranked up loud.

best bet would probably get new boxes, not sure if you want ones made for the truck, if you do its going to be a bit more pricey but probably worth it in the long run, or you can be like me and just throw them on the back seat. altough i only have 1 sub and i only loose 1 seat.
Thanks for the quick reply. I don't want to buy new boxes, yes its wayyy better to get nice ones custom built and ported but I don't have the cash and I don't want to save up for it. I'm pretty lucky with what I got now and I have decided to call it quits on pimping the ride more, it's perfect the way it is haha. Only exception is a K&N CAI
Anyhow, I'm looking for a "fix" not a replacement. My dad suggested to buy bags of cotton balls and pad the inside of the box with them. Then use longer wood screws to mount the sub as tight as possible to the box. What do you think![]()

Deff fill it with cotton. Doesn't have to be balls, it cold be large pieces but both will work. The subs should be on there tight if they're not vibrating. Also take them out and check for leaks in the box. If so seal up all the corners.

They sell the box stuffing here for about $13

Nope same one's but I kinda wish I had a little more meat around them but don't have anymore room in the wheel wells. I think I hear reason for a lift.![]()

Yeah, a lift would be cool. 6" maybe? But with the lift you may need new tires. And new tires plus a lift is expensive!

you could take some regular like cotton batting for pillows like already said, but also get some clear sealent, the cheap bathroom and window kind and run it along the seams inside the box then when its wet line it with the cotton, leave it out to dry. when when the subs go back in makes sure they are screwed on real good and if you redrill into new screw holes seal up the old ones.
you may be "BIG TRUCKIN" but im " real truckin"
