Default All on high mod UPDATE

So I performed this mod today and it works very well. However there was one thing I wanted that this mod did not provide. Sometimes I would like to have just my drl's and parking lights on at the same time. I love that look. I tried putting a diode between #85 on the parking light relay to #85 on the drl relay but that would not work. In fact the other parts of the all on high mods wouldn't work when that was in place. When I would take it out the other mod would work. I tried running a piece of wire between the parking lot fuse and the drl fuse but that made the parking lot stay on even when the ignition and lights were turned off.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

You should use your parking light relay to activate the DRLs. Unless you tried that and it didn't work. I don't know to much about the newer trucks light systems. What year is your truck?

Mine is a 2004 1500. I did try the parking light relay but it wouldn't work and made the others stop working when it was connected.

Do the parklight and the DRL light use the same socket to attach them to the light housing because if they do you could cheat the system and buy two extra park light harnesses and wire them to the factory ones.
