I have an 05 Suburban 1500 and plan to connect an electric brake controller myself. I have the GM brake control harness. Does anyone know where the connection is on the suburban that I connect my brake control harness to? Thanks so much

First off, I am assuming that you are talking about the harness (maybe 6-8 inches long) that is specific to GM vehicles, that runs from the controller to the truck? (the instructions on my brake controller did show where to plug it in)
Anyways, we put one on my 04 silverado, so I am assuming that yours will be similar to mine, but there should be a white "box" on the firewall inside the cab under the driver's side dash. I will have to look at my truck to see which of the "sockets" that it plugs into, but that is the destination that you are looking for, given that we are on the same page.
Let me know if you need more.

Hutch Thanks for the quick reply. On my suburban under the dash against is a grey box. I will look in there to see if my harness will connect to it. I am assuming your white box opens and that is where you connect the harness to. I have the controller and will attach this to the underside of the dash so that the driver can control it. the harness connects to the car and I will connect the harness to the controller. I was not sure where to connect the harness to the car. I purchased a specific harness for GM products 2003-2005.
Thanks for your help. My wife has the rig and will return from a horse show on sunday. Monday we get the trailer and I will like to connect the brake controller by myself. $350 quote from the local chevy dealer. $70 for the controller and $14 for the harness and great advice from you.
Thanks
