Question Where is DIC on a 2004 Sierra

Hi, I bought my first truck a few months back. I have 4 buttons on the steering wheel, which judging byall the posts I read, they are for the DIC. I don't see anything happening on the dash when I press any of those buttons. Where should I be looking? The only thing I see is the odometer, when I press the odomoeter button on the dash, it cycles between running hours, business and personal mileage.
I can't even reset it to track the mileage on a trip.
    Am I doing something wrong?
Thank you very much in advance.

On my 07 If you start the truck, leave it in park and cycle through the trip odometer button you get additional information controls. Try that.

On my '04 Chevy, you use the "steering wheel" buttons, like said above.
