Ok, I know "there aren't any stupid questions" but this sure feels like one! When you get on the gas (WOT), is oil pressure supposed to raise? I just did a Seafoam treatment with one can in the gas tank, 1/2 in the oil, and 1/2 in the booster line. I have never really paid attention to it before, but since I "changed" something, I was paying extra attention to details. If it's not normal, could it be that there is too much fluid in the oil pan after I added the Seafoam, causing higher pressure? If this is normal, please let me know...and try not to laugh at me too much![]()

1st question after running the seafoan in the oil you have changed the oil and filter?
2nd is the pressure in the 20-60 PSI range? if so no issues
i had a couple cars that the pressure went up after cleaning as long as it is in range no issues.
there might be some junk in the line blocking the flow some and the presure will rise until it passes the system and into the filter. i think you are fine but what is the pressure?

Well, I just put the Seafoam in this afternoon. I plan on changing the oil, oil filter, and fuel filter next week.
I just went out there and rev'd the engine and the pressure would go up to about 70. It only happens if I really get on it. It runs at normal pressure (about 50-55) when idle. You think I'll be alright? If it's a problem, would changing the oil fix it?

I wouldn't wait til next week to change the oil. I don't think it's supposed to stay in more than just a short time (though I could be wrong). The oil pressure at idle will be lower than it is at WFO, so that's not an issue.

if i recall the directions say you can leave it in for 100-200 miles i have to re-read the can. 70 psi is not bad at idle mine drops to 20-25 and as i gain in the pedal my pressure goes up. ....mike
