Does that Speedometer jump as well? I ask that because there is a recall on the instrument cluster for the full size trucks and SUV's. My 2004 pickup had the speedometer fail, and I took it in and had it fixed. Might call the deal to see if its covered?

i just got a letter about this problem in the mail from gm--they issued a recall for this- so take it in to a dealer--should get fixed at no charge-
I didn't do it. nobody saw me do it, you can't prove anything

also check your battery terminals. a bad connection can cause your volt gauge to peg
