Hello - Just signed Up
I am a new GMC truck owner. I bought a GMC Sonoma 2002 with 30,000 miles on it. Its been about a month of ownership and now that the Awe of owning a new truck is wearing off, I am finding some quirks.

Quirks
I lost what I was typing in for some dumb reason. I was typing along and then a click and the page disappeared. Argh. I will try again.
01) The trucked bounced alot when on the highway and some city streets. I took it in to have the front wheels balanced and was told the front left was bad and the right front was sort of bad. Driving wise, its better.
02) Gas consumption. I have a house I drive to cut grass. The round trip is 32 miles. It says the truck should get 25 mpg. I could swear the truck burned about 4 gallons which would mean it burned 3 times more than it should.
02a) Anyone try the E85? I put in a tank and noticed the power was alot worse that a regular tank of gas.
03) The tires on the truck now are Uniroyal Tiger Paws. I've heard these tires are not the best in rain and snow. And they grab the road funny when braking too. And I have at times had problems with the truck stopping because these tires didn't grab the road. What can anyone recommend in regards to tires? Firestone showed me some FR710's at $93 each but told me I could get them at employee pricing which is about $63 each and they want to put on a 215-70-15 (original size is 205-70-15) and then it was mentioned that the ride will improve. The Tiger Paws I was told are made with a stiff material so they have less give.
