Thread: Cheap Lift

  1. #1

    Question Cheap Lift

I wanna lift my truck but am on a SMALL budget. I might go to a place and have them curve my springs but is there anything else I could do that would be cheap? I have seen someone do lift blocks front and rear; is that safe, would it work, would the blocks for rear fit on the front? HELP cause I wanna do it before winter if possible so I can be used to it by then.

NO, NO, NO to lift blocks in the front. You can put blocks in the back but nothing over 3 inches. I have heard of re-aching the springs but you can only re-arch them so much then you have to add leafs. The best thing IMO is to look for aftermarket springs that are already arched. How much lift do you want?

i would say an AAl or find a set of new springs for the front and do a block in the rear to save money, but never put a block in the front it is very unsafe and will break stuff

I wanna try to get like 6" of lift. I am gonna go to a spring shop to get a price for them to arch them, right now my truck looks like a 2wd cause of the springs being FLAT

I would look at some of the big 4x4 forums and search through their for sale sections and if you can't find them listed, post a wanted thread. I am willing to bet you can find the springs you are wanting without going new or having someone else twist up your old ones that will settle back eventually.

like here is a 6" lift...
