    Question Another Climate/Air Cond Question

So I was going down the road tonight on a long super smooth patch, so everything was completely silent. Had the A/C set on 72 auto, nice and cool...and it was probably on one of the lowest settings...yet out of somewhere in the middle you could hear something not quite loud, but noticeable...a sort of pattern of clicking, like a fan slightly off balance tapping the side of the shroud, or something in the vent flickering from side to side....I inspected what I could and found nothing that would cause it...but it only comes about when the air flow is low...

Does anyone else have this problem? Or maybe know exactly where to look to stop it? It sort of lowers the whole quality feel of the vehicle with a small tapping noise like that.

might be the blend door motor. it has gears and if a tooth or two break you get the clicking. check the motor change to a defferent temp and see if the sound goes away...mike

Found the problem, it was the left passenger vent. Its door was clicking in the slider back and forth, ticking at just the right air speed...I put some thick dielectric grease in the slider and the hinges of it, and now its smooth, and always quiet!

    Simple. :D
