First thing is that I am not very "automotive" so please bear with my lack of knowledge on explaining these things.
I have a 2003 Chevy Suburban with electronic climate control. The display does not work except maybe once in a blue moon. Lately I cannot get any part of it to work, although in the past it would work for short periods and it still may. It will blow HOT air off and on, not all the time though. I just noticed today that it would blow harder the faster I went, but not all the time. Like I wrote, only when it was "on". There are times that I can make it do what I want but it only lasts for a mile or two.
Any ideas on what the problem is and what it would cost to fix it?
Might be the wiring harness plugged into the back of display. You would have to take the dash off and check the wires. I have also noticed on some peoples cars that a wire might be pulled out of the harness even with the harness plugged in and can cause things not to work. That's what I would check first. I hate to take my car to the dealer until I have to!
