    Default 2000 silverado door jam

The passenger door will not open. From the looks of it, the back door wasn't closed enough before the front door was closed. From the inside, it doesn't look like the door is latched. I've tried locking/unlocking many times and the switch barely moves. I've put moderate pressure on the door to try to hit it open, but nothing works. I also tried hitting the door with my shoulder from the outside. Hopefully someone can help!Click image for larger version.

have someone hold the back door in place while you try to open the front door.

Also, Is the bottom of the door up tight like it would be when its closed right? it could be an issue with the linkage.

I have tried that and it didn't work. From the outside, the doors look shut as normal, but not from the inside.

When you push on the door from the inside of the truck, try from both the top and bottom of the door, and let me know if theres any movement I suspect the bottom locking pin could be engaged, and not unlatching.

I just tried that and I don't think it's unlatching.

fun so the top moves a little but the bottom doesnt. this is going to be a fun job for you. you need to remove the back door panel and somehow get the linkage to pull the pin from the bottom of the door so it latches correctly. or somehow get the pressure off that bottom pin and the doors should come apart provided the linkage is not broken.

I will have to try that. It's raining at the moment, so I will have to delay on that though!

In looking at the 2 pictures, I have a Question, are the Doors the Original ones, or from another "Silverado/Sierra"....the reason I ask, is I'm seeing 2-Different Color's in the Interior....
