Default Better antenna for radio reception

I have a 2003 Silverado with AM/FM stock radio and standard antenna on right front quarter panel.

I live out in the rural areas and AM stations are hard to pick up but I can with get them with inside radio with good outdoor antenna. I know the lower frequencies require a longer antenna for better reception.

Just wondering if anyone has found a better antenna for the Silverado for fringe area reception?
