ato head lights

i have a 2001 suburban and have HIDS and if i start my car my left or right side goes out until i turn off the car and put the e brake (b/c disengages the auto dim lights) down and then start it and manually turn them on and then release the ebrake it is normal. ive heard u can go to the bcm and stick pins in a wire to make em disengage the auto dim please help!!!!!!!!
