wow, I dont know whos replacing your windows but Ive had 1 rear sliding window replaced in a 95 silverado and a front window in a 88 cheyenne and both windows only cost me $200 each installed. I had no insurance on them also. I had my 03 escalade front windshield replaced last year (under my insurance)and I saw the bill to the insurance company from safelite autoglass and that was only $250. Ive never heard of windows costing that kind of money.

The rear glass for my Tahoe is really expensive and rare to find for some reason. Safelite did it too. I think it was that expansive because it took the guy 5-6 hour to fix it.
