    Default Stock 350 vs 383 stroker+ does a 396 have more torque than a 454 stock ?

Ok all this has probably been asked before but here goes im installing a stock 350 for now in my k30 4x4 truck what gains would i have besides cubic inches and HP by doing a 383 stroker ? also am wondering if a 396 has more torque than a stock 454 ? reason i ask is i may go BBC versus doing a stroker sbc any help is greatly appreciated

I think the biggest advantage is the weight savings of the 383 over the 454

    Advantage of a 383 to a 350 is more torque...just the same 454 over a 396

I would think a 383 would have about the same torque as a 396, but a big weight advantage.

Now when you are talking stock 454, they came in many versions....from under 300hp to 450hp....They all have lots of torque

Ok cool was kinda thinkin that might be the case but wasnt sure.I'm not really looking for tons of HP im looking at the more torque the better towing and a few HP's doesnt hurt either im not to concerned with fuel economy as i knew when i bought this truck that wasnt gonna be something i would get hehe it is gonna be a tow rig.

    Thanks for the reply's
