    Question : What year did Chevrolet build their first pickup truck ?

    That wasn't easy to find.........how about this: "The first Chevrolet pickup truck appeared in 1924".

    Looking for a pic, it now seems, that the year might have been 1923

    1918-1922 model T TRUCK, note, the above link will display all the service manuals for chevrolet from 1916 thru 1924, pretty neat stuff . 1923 was the chevrolet express model. It was a pretty fancy work truck for its time.Click image for larger version.

    I've looked pretty deep, and it's looks like Ford was about a year before Louis Chevrolet and William Durant to roll out a "pickup" truck. 1911 for Ford and 1913- 14 for the Chevrolet truck and it was awhile before GMC even came into being.
