If I am correct the ZL1 and the Z/28 are the only two production cars (that I know of) that you can take to the track and not void your warranty

Considering you only get 505 hp out of a 427 I wouldn't pay $75,000 for that. I have seen 427 crate engines make waaay more. To me that is an embarrassment when you want that much money and you barely make over 500 hp...the dang thing should make 800 hp if they're gonna charge that much. The Mustang GT 500 Supersnake makes 800 hp and it costs little more then the camaro. Its a f%$D but hey...look what yer gettin for yer money. lol.
Excuse the rust..I USE my truck.

The LS7 is the same engine that is in the Corvette Z06. The reason the Supersnake is making over 800 hp and the Z/28 is only at 505 is because the Z/28 is naturally aspirated to save on the weight. It is why the ZR1 weights more than the Z06. The extra weight of the supercharger and insulating means extra seconds on the track. Weight is the only reason why the Z/28 was able to beat the ZL1's time at the Nuremberg Ring by over 5 seconds.

Agreed. The Mustang GT500 makes 600hp (I think) it costs $15,000 less than the new Z/28. And it comes with A/C and a full stereo system!
