I have an 01 silverado LS with factory head unit and 2 of 4 factory speakers. I changed the 2 fronts last week and seemed to work fine until today. I was driving home with the radio on then all of a sudden I heard a static noise from the speakers and now none of the speakers work. The head unit is powered up and display works but no sound from the speakers. I checked the fuses in the dash and all are ok.
What could have happened and what should I check?
THanks,
Jeff

the amp in the radio may have overloaded and shut down for some reason.

alot of times stock head units dont like after market speakers or amps. especially with bose
id just buy an inexpensive after market head unit
it will work with both factory and after market speakers
a cheap head unit can run @ 80 bucks @ wal mart
