    Hello All,

I'm new to the group and just wanted to say hello from northern Colorado. This is truck country as you can guess with at least one or more pickups in most drives.

I traded a 99 Ford F150 to a local stealership for an '03 Siverado Z71 Ex Cab with low miles. It is just great and I just came back from Montana pulling a 1500 lb travel trailer getting an average of 17 mpg. I was quite surprised.

My truck is outfitted with a box mounted kayak rack from JC Whitney, Reese frame hiitch, Michelin rubber, Bose noise makers - good for Willie Nelson tunes, stock 5.3 V8, mud flaps, rear window gun rack with Winchester 30-30 (sometimes) and lots of coffee in the cup holders.

It rides just fine with the stiff suspension I like and carries most of my toys such as a Honda XR400 dirt bike, 2 dogs, and the wife (ha ha!).

The wife has her own Honda SUV to haul her toys around too!

This is a fun gruop to read stories about.

    Happy trails (dirt) to all!!!!

Welcome to the site! Your truck sounds a lot like mine. It is surprising how good of mpg they get. Have fun!
