I'm stuck in mud by about 5 feet and that's it. Really ticking me off.

The guys out there said they know the owners at prologics and they pull trash out for them in exchange for being able to go mudding.

I don't know if that's true but they had some nice machines. I got some photos of them. Nice guys.

Seems like a neat program but then there is a decal you have to have. Just another, "Hey, we're the government! Give us more money!!"

Isn't there some annual, week-long off-road event that takes place around Austin? Supposedly there are some serious rock trails out there that are for serious off-roaders only. Any old truck won't make it around the course.

The week long run near Austin is held near the town of Katemcy, Tx. From spring to fall theres at least 1 week long get together a month by various truck clubs from all over Texas.
Its a favorite destination not only because it centrally located in the state but because it geologic make up is not normal for the state.
Katemcy has lots of hills with springs draining from the tops of the hills, it also has lots of granite which is rare in Texas.
The off road park presently open is the third area in the last 13 years, the first two were closed after land owners ended lease and decided to turn their land into leased hunting lots.
The camp area has showers, running water, elec hook ups, and a few other amenities.
The present camp area is much nicer than the first location camp area, I stayed there 12 years ago.
Gotta look around, I posted pics a few years ago of my Tacoma on top of the original waterfall, a 5 plus rated trail.
