08 grille replacement

New to the forum and I just picked up my new 08 Sierra ext cab Z71. I bought the GM replacement crome grille and the instruction say to pull old grille forward after discounecting clips. The filler panal between the grille an bumper is hook through the grille and looks like it should be removed first. The instructions do not tell you this. If anyone has gone this and could help out , that would be great. Thanx in advance

HI,
I also have an 08 sierra that I did replace with a lquid mesh grill... You need to undo the clips along the radiator support first , than reach down and undo the clips on the back side of grill(use pliers), Than CAREFULLY pull grilll forward and with your hands or LONG FLAT BLADE SCREWDRIVER release the tabs holding the bottom part of the grill....

Yeah its just like milkman said just remove the screws on top and use pliers to squeeze the clips and pull slightly at the same time to release the clip. Start at the top and work your way down. I have a 07 silverado and I had I think 4 screws and 6 clips. Its not very hard once you see where everything is.
