Any suggestions on the use of either Rain-X or Aquapel. Seems like from what I can read the Aquapel product lasts much longer on the windows. The vehicle is brand new so I'm not sure what the dealer put on the windows but I do I ensure it is gone before putting on new rain treatment.
If there is a product better than Aquapel Rain-X, I am all ears.
Thanks,
Evan
I Love what Rain-X does. I don't like the film it leaves on the window after it's on for so long. You have to re-apply it every so often. The haze on the glass makes you think your winshield is dirty.

i too love rain-x but they sell a premixed washer fluid that works well but its a little pricy. they also sell at walmart or any parts house a bottle of liquid rain-x that is a concentrate, and you just pour a little bit at a time in your reservoir.

So I guess no one is using the aquapel product? They say it lasts a really long time, like up to 6 months with wiper use on windshield and a year on other windows.

never heard of it, so i dont know. i use the liquid concentrate, there is no fogging to worry about, and it lasts a long time i think. i usually use it every other refill of my washer fluid resevoir. the bottle should last you a year or longer depending on your usage.

I also don't like the streaks/foggy look that's left on the windshield. I've got friends that do a lot of offroading up in the rainy northwest mountains, and they live by the stuff ... probably the best use for it ever, but I never got into it. Tried it a couple of times, but just didn't care for the "side effects"

I use rain-x and put it on right before winter hits and usually last about 6 months for me. I haven't heard of the other brand either.

Thanks all...
I don't use either. If you have the time and a buffer. the same wax i wax the truck with, goes on my windows. Clean your windows with Windex and newspaper first. The small buffer and wax windows. with car wax! I normally use a paste on the windows, but anything works, but it last for a couple months. Same with rain-x just don't use your wipers. But I've always done this and it works great! Even after a trip, with all the bug splatters, the bug come right when you wash, because the coat of wax on the windows doesn't let them stick! VOILA!
