There have been lots of threads discussing programmers. Try doing a search on the forum or browsing the Performance section. If you can't find what you're looking for, try posting in the Performance section. The post may get more attention there.

Personally, I don't have any experience with programmers. Although, I'm looking to get my hands on a Hypertech Max Energy when I have the extra $$! I've heard good things.

I use a Superchips Flashpaq. It works pretty well. You can get more power out of a custon tune, but the handheld programmer is more user friendly and you can change the settings or go back to stock at will. The hand helds are about the same, some can be updated via the internet.

I have had several programmers ranging from Hypertech to Diablo tuners, and I feel that Hypertech is probably the best for versatility. My current tuner is a Hypertech Hyperpac, it is a very advanced monitoring/tuning device. These are some of the options:

    Read & clear DTC's
    Adjust shift points & firmness
    Remove rev limiter
Built in christmas tree for practicing reaction times
Tuning adjustment for unleaded & premium fuel
Live powertrain monitoring, rpm, mph, torque, hp, temp, pressure
USB cable for laptop interface, to be able to keep track of your performance upgrades one by one.
1/4 time measured in incriments of every 20 feet, measuring hp and torque ( accurate within a tenth!)
Adjust speedometer for larger tires, to correct the speedometer.
Ability to adjust computer for upgraded gearing (3.73 stock-4.10 after market gear)

    Summit Racing $499.99

My enjoyment out of this product...............PRICELESS!
