Default Little ways to make it stretch

I had a few questions about little stuff to help milage. Like I heard putting Synthetic in your rear axil gearbox, and swapping out your wires and harness with better after market ones, or better spark plugs. Are any of these true?....

yes syn oils will help milage as well as normal preventive maintance. hotter spark and better wires and air filter will all help. not sure about swapping the harness. and check tire pressure and all moving parts for proper lube...mike
