    Default used hypertech??

Does anyone have the capability to clear the stored VIN on a hypertech unit? I have one that went to my silverado but I have sold the truck. I called Hypertch and they said for $200 they'll swap it out for one that matches new vehicle. Thats half the cost!

I seriously doubt you'll find anyone except Hypertech with that ability. The reason you can't clear the VIN is that essentially that's the form of licensing for the software tune on the tuner. You bought the tuner, but it's essentially a computer software license good for one vehicle. If you don't want to pay, you'd have to find the new owner of the truck and convince them to let you pull the tune off their truck.
