'01 silverado remote start

Does anybody know of a good remote start system to add on to the existing keyless entry or possibly even replace it? My truck has the vortec 5.3L. Thanks for the help.

it just depends on the features you want. viper makes a couple of good ones. the 160XVR, and the 160XVL.

they both will remote start the truck and have door locks, so you can just not use the factory keyless. just throw it in a dresser somewhere in case you lock your keys in or something. the only difference in the two is the XVL has a one mile range and the XVR only has a quarter mile range.

your truck will also need a bypass module due to the fact that it has an imobilizer. you could get the 160XVR bought and installed at bestbuy for around $300, and the 160XVL for about $350.
