Default Finally home from my trip

Got home earlier today after a 2800 mile trip in the wifes HHR
Grand Prairie Tx. to Las Vegas Nv. and back 1247 miles each way and a few miles around Las Vegas.
    We averaged 36 mpg
Maintained an average speed of 73mph
The drive between Las Vegas and Grand Prairie took 19 hours either direction.
Fuel averaged $3.65 a gallon for a total of $310.
This is the first long trip we've taken in the HHR, I found out the gas tank can outlast my bladder and the seats are very comfortable for sitting and driving but not very comfortble for sleeping.
We went to visit the family, celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, renew our wedding vows, and celebrate my birthday.
Got some pics to post later but I gotta find my camera attachment cord.

On the way home we stopped outside of Albuqurque NM. at the Route 66 Casino, due to the time change we didnt realize it was after midnite and all the dining facillities were closed except an expensive rest. being the cheap SOB I am I told the wife we'd pick up fast food rather than pay the expensive prices. As we walked out to leave she dropped .50 in a penny machine and hit $20, I told her I still wasnt paying the prices so she played off the win and cashed out, the next spin she won $3000 with all cherry's. I finally relented and stayed to eat. As we walked out after eating she dropped $3 in a nickel poker machine and pulled out another $1100. In one stop she managed to pay for our trip and make a profit.

She was lucky all week long, she won a few small pots in Vegas and won $450 at BINGO in Pahrump, the best I could do was walk away with an extra $4 or $5 dollars.
