I'm looking at buying an 06 1500 but I'd like to know how difficult it would be to give it the more aggressive look of the 1500HD. Specifically, how much of a body lift would i need and which fender flares look the most similar? The truck is 2wd. Thanks guys.

i dont think the 06 had a 1/2ton hd..
i think they say the hds have 2-3" BL on them..
i would get the "bolt on" look flares... they make any truck look mean..
if i wasent going for the "less is more" look i would have them

I think 03 was the last year of the 1500HD's. My 2500HD does have a 2" body lift from the factory as it is listed on my build sheet. As far as the fender flairs, you should look for take-offs or new factory flairs maybe on Ebay (if you like the factory flairs).
