Anyways, does anyone know how to get the bowties off of an 09 Cobalt? Any advice or info would be great.

p.s. i understand this is a truck club and I am asking about a car (sorry!)... but if it helps, I just had to sell my truck and miss it very much. Need to do something to spruce this little car up. Thanks!
I would try using fishing line between the emblem and tailgate by basically sawing it back & forth.Using bug and tar remover should get the rest of the adhesive off of your tailgate.

Something else that is helpful removing large quantities of glue is to file down the back end of a toothbrush like a chisel. It is hard enough to use a scraper but soft enough that it won't scratch the paint.

Gotta agree with the emphasis on taking you time while painting lol. I did three of my rims and rushed the last one and ended up taking it off again and redoing it. I plan on blacking out my emblem fairly soon so awesome post.
