Hi guys,
I just got an '08 Yukon hybrid and would like to upgrade to an HID kit. Anyone know how to disable the daytime running lights?
Thanks!
I don't know how different the Hybrid is, but disabled my DRLs yesterday by pulling the two DRL fuses under the hood. It was as simple as that and the automatic headlights function as normal.

I can't say for the Yukon in particularly, but if the light system is run off of a light control module (another ecm) it may not accept any extra amp draw from aftermarket lights, resulting in problems with the lighting, or no lighting at all. I know this to be the case with the KW T660 for example. I realise this is not a big-rig, but just thought I would pass on the info, in case anything does happen, and you wonder why.

In my 99 sierra it was a fuse in the panel by the door labeled DTRL.

@ zosim (or anybody else considering upgrading their headlights on a hybrid)
Did you ever go forward with this project? I have an '09 Yukon Hybrid where the low beams seem to be very dim. I am considering upgrading to the Sylvania Ultra's, but the dealership advised against this citing that the hybrid system is very sensitive to changes in draws on the electrical system.
Would be interesting to see how a new light system would work in a Hybrid.
Those lights draw a lot power when being used.
So I would take care in doing an upgrade like that, you may find you have to go back to OEM parts.
