    Default power steering replacment parts

well since i got it and i found out it was leaking power steering fluid i have tossed the idea around of getting rid of the truck all together, along with the other problems it has it would cost me just over 1k to have a shop fix everything, well iv decided to suck it up and just replace what i can if not everything for alot less then 1k.

one thing that i have been told needs to be replaced due to leaking is the powersteering gear box, so far i have had an easy time finding write ups on stuff im replacing but i cant seem to find one for the gear box, anyone know how to replace it? help is greatfully appreciated!

I had the same problem and was told it was the box as well I lifted it up replaced the gear box and found out that it was the hoses and not the box at all. make sure that its the steering box and not hoses so your not spending to much to fix it Lucas power steering leak stop works wonders

hoses look pretty new so im assuming last owner tried to stop the leak by changing those, i could be wrong but they look pretty good

If the Truck has hydro boost DO NOT use stop leak products even lucas. Trust Me I did and now I am having huge braking issues when I turn the whell in either direction.
I love lucas Product but this hydro boost is a sensitive system,
Even when you see a FORD broke down stop and offer them a ride.
