    Cool 454 vortec replacement

    good day folks. just spent some time as a new user looking at all the endless info that is at our disposal here. thanks for looking out!

    I just blew the motor in my 97 gmc sierra 2500. and im on the hunt for a new one. it has the 454 currently and i was wondering if any other year or motor can bolt up in its stead. I loved the 454 but I would just as soon have the 350 or 318 for what I do, but Ive found nothing local, (slc, Utah). Tranny seems good but if you have any info on a place to pick up a good used or rebuild that would be grand.
