    Default Escalade Headlights in Chevy

Hey guys...forgive me if this has already been a topic on here...but my pops is a GM of a Caddy dealership and I was just wondering; will the headlight assembly off an Escalade fit into my 07 silverado? I think they are plug and play but I am not sure if they will fit. Has anyone done this conversion or done any research for it? Thanks!

I have seen this done only one time at the Summit Racing Truck Fest, I asked him about them because that was an idea I had instead of screwing around with the aftermarket s***. He told me he had a laundry list of crap happen ranging from electrical problems, to dash lights coming on. Basically I figured he was telling the truth, because if he was telling a fib wouldn't you see more of them around????? Bottom line if you are an electrical genius then yes they can be done, the fenders and the hood he had were all stock from a 3500HD Dually. I am definately not a genius so take this post for what it's worth, don't kill the messenger okay

You are talking about just pulling the HID units from an Escalade and putting it into yours correct? I would think this would get really expensive and would just be easier to but some (aftermarket)and have a warranty.

Apologies for not reading through every reply that's been added just yet.. but I was just looking through a truck magazine (Truckin') today and there are swap kits that let you put caddy front on a GM truck. I don't know if that's what you are talking about but if that's kind of it, PM me and I will go back to the mag and send you the companies I saw.

There are swap kits for the 2000 to 2006 silverado's. mainly cause everything swaps over from the escalade of that same chassis. I have done it on my tahoe. but 07red is asking about swapping for a 07 up body. I would think if it was going to be done you would for sure have to get all the body pieces cause for starters everything around the headlights are differant than the chevy headlight. They might be closer in style to the GMC but i havent paid attention. Also these newer trucks are not like the older body where you can swap something and go. they have to be reprogrammed sometimes and i dont doubt that changing the headlights for a xenon headlight would be the same. But i am sure there is a solution. My guess why not many have done it partly not many are modding much right now cause of the economy and im sure the escalade parts are expensive. Remember most didnt start doing the escalade on the older body till they started making aftermarket body panels which made the swap alot cheaper.
