    Default 57 Rat 4x4

Hey guys I'm a brand spankin newbie.I live in Phx. az. The wheather is just starting to get nice.I'm an old guy and I just bought a 79 chev.1ton 4x4 with a 454 HO crate motor and 35" tires etc.I've been a transmission tech for a long long time .I'm a double Master with ford motor co.and ASE certified in all.I chose to work on fords because I knew they'd always break and I'd make a decent living.I have always owned chevys ,Chev drivetrain motorhome just sold my 56 chev 2dr belaire but still have me 57 chev.2 dr 210 car that is sitting on a Dodge 4x4 powerwagon.I used to work for a chassis builder in Michigan building pro stock race cars.I've been a chassis man for 7 years.I have a problem with leaving things alone.I want to get that 57 off that Dodge and slide it on the 79.I know people think I'm crazy but I'm tired of the under powered dodge and want that big rat in there. It will be a 57 car on a 1 ton chev w/locker rear end ,dual tanks, beefed up turbo 400,35 in tires on trick wheels,oh yeah and a/c for us old folks, gotta stay cool.Besides 4 wheelin the car still looks good enough to take it down Central on Saturday nite.I also have an all original 1963 dodge the is still pretty cherry that we take out once in awhile.I've been a Gearhead since I'd watch the older guys in my old neighborhood allways working on their hot rods up in Detroit.Well anyway that's me ,I'm sure I'll be begging you guys for help like on my sliding/tilt front end.If you think I could ever help any of you give me a holler.
