    Default new guy here

hello everyone, my names tony and ive always been in the gm family..owned a 199 gmc denali when they first came out then traded it in for a 2004 denali..thats basically my get to work truck and shopping..but ive always wanted a lifted truck..so i deicded to pick up a z71 tahoe..iv got my eye on a 2001 with only 53000 miles for about $11k...and my plans are to lift it about 4-5 inches..nothing extreme and also throw some bigger tires on it something in the 30'' range..

Welcome to the site Tony! As far as your future lift plans.... Go Big or Go Home! (I mean that in the nicest way and that you consider all your options). When I bought my new Silverado, I finally decided to lift it when my first set of tires wore out. I originally wanted to go with a 4" lift and 33's but when I found out the difference between the 4" and the 6" lift was less than $100, I could not resist going with 6" of lift and 35's. My family loves it and it rides like a Cadillac (better than stock).

Welcome to the site! I've seen a few really nice "lifted" Z71 Tahoes. Truck Trader mag. had one that had all the off road stuff you could throw at it and it look really good. It is a '02 model for $13,500.

LOL, Look at mine! Both my wife and I are 5'-9", and my daughters are 12 and 5 years old. Without the Factory tube steps/nerf bars, I would be sitting on a 4" lift or none at all. Just think, for a couple hundred dollars more you can please the "lil lady" as well as your kids. My 5 year-old insists on climbing in by herself all the way from the ground up to and in her booster seat.
