    Default Back to GM

I've always had one type of GM or another. I started with a 79 Bucik, 92 Chevy Cheyenne (which I still have) and so on. After selling my 1997 Tahoe I bought an 04 Expedition, not a bad truck, but I knew it wasn't a GM product.

Three days ago I traded in the Expedition and purchased a 2006 Chevy Silverado LT1 package, with 16000 original miles and couldn't be happier with it. It's loaded, leather, Bose sound system, XM, DIC all the bells and whisltes I need. I also enjoy the ride. It doesn't have the Z71 suspension, so I'm not sure how much more of a stiff ride that would give, but this truck is great on the highway and back roads.

Other than using the truck for traveling, I also haul my 19' boat with it, and wasn't so sure how the drums in the back would handle the load, but I took it out yesterday and it seemed to do pretty well.

I'll be sure to post any questions I might have.

Welcome to the site! Does your 06 not have 4-wheel disk brakes? Maybe it's 2 wheel drive? Sounds like you got a nice truck for sure so share some pics when you get a chance.

Front disc, rear drum, with Basic towing package. It is a 4x4. I uploaded a few pictures, but it only accepted the one of the interior. I'll have to try and upload smaller res. pictures when I get a chance.
